Operation Power Up @ The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses – Second Quest

Operation Power Up
On December 3, 2013, some of the members of Operation: Power Up attended The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses - Second Quest in San Antonio, Texas. We were there not only to enjoy this magnificent concert, but also to raise awareness of our campaign! We arrived dressed up as various Nintendo characters to help draw attention for our campaign. (Plus it was fun to do so!) Here are some pictures of us with people who want to get back the power!

The symphony was simply wonderful! For those who have attended the concert the first time around, the Second Quest has new movements and visuals which were also amazing. outside inside As a nice surprise for all us at Operation: Power Up, after the intermission, the producer and creative director of The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, Jeron Moore, was reading out the Miis that he StreetPassed on his 3DS on stage. He happened to StreetPass our mascot, Max, and then gave Operation Power Up a shout out! At the end of the show, we even got to meet and take pictures with Jeron Moore. He supported our campaign!

On a side note, we were at the symphony last year as well for the first season of the performance. Jeron Moore and conductor, Eimear Noone, both gave their blessing for our campaign.

For those new to Operation: Power Up, we’re a group of dedicated fans persuading Nintendo of America to bring back Nintendo Power as a digital publication and or a website. With fan publications such as Pure Nintendo and Nintendo Force, as well as the UK’s magazine, Official Nintendo Magazine, shows that there’s still a market for a dedicated Nintendo publication. Our mission is simple; we want to get back the Power, Nintendo Power! See you next mission!

Operation Power Up Update!

For those who follow Official Nintendo Magazine’s website, then you know today is Miiverse Monday! We decided to do our own spin on it to help raise awareness and show that people still want Nintendo Power. How are we doing that? Simple!

Who could this be?

Introducing our representative of Operation Power Up, Maxwell, Max! If you've been following with our campaign, we’ve been taking it to the Miiverse. So we have started up an official Operation Power Up Nintendo ID: OperationPowerUp. If you have a Nintendo Network ID, you can visit our profile page here! Don’t forget to follow us on the Miiverse and give us some yeahs!

So who is our mascot? He’s the son of Nester, former comic star of Nintendo Power. We believe his image best represents our campaign; we want to restore a legacy for this generation. (As well as slipping some classic Nintendo Power references for the fans.)

As seen in issue 231.
We’ve already been spreading the word on the Miiverse. Just check out some of Max’s Miiverse posts:

As seen in issue 285.

Showing off his artistic skills plus showing off people who would like to see Nintendo Power back!

And our Super Smash Bros reference comes full circle.

Also, our website has been slightly changed: Our official website is: www.operationpowerup.com from now on.
That’s it for now. We have more events planned later this year. One coming up isThe Nintendo Experience Tour! Also expect to see Max showing up in your Mii Plaza sometime in the future.
See you next mission!

Operation Power Up Miiverse Posting Campaign

Today, August 4, 2013, Pikmin 3 has been released in the US! The Pikmin games have shown us that if we work together, we can accomplish anything! So here’s our mission! The Miiverse community is big and Nintendo does take notice to the posts there. The EarthBound community have succeeded on getting EarthBound/Mother 2 on Virtual Console in North America by simply letting Nintendo know that they want it through the Miiverse. For those with Nintendo Network IDs, the Pikmin 3 Miiverse Community is quickly growing now, so all we need from you is to simply post a message on the Pikmin 3 Community asking Nintendo of America to give Nintendo Power its own official Miiverse community or bring Nintendo Power back. Here’s an example post:
Source.
Furthermore if you see this post or any other Nintendo Power related post in the Miiverse, please be sure to give it a “Yeah” to make sure these posts get scene by more people. Feel free to post around anywhere in the Miiverse community as well! Pikmin has also shown us that there’s strength in numbers, so please share this article with people who are interested in officially bringing back Nintendo Power as a new publication, website, or a Miiverse community. You can also sign in the Miiverse on your computer and share your posts on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Tumblr. Just visit the official Miiverse website right here. Don’t forget to join our Facebook and follow us on Twitter! Thanks for helping us get the power! See you next mission! Our Facebook group: Here. Our Twitter: Here. Our petition: Here.
